'One Size Fits All' 40th Anniversary Tour
Zappa Plays Zappa
returns to the UK in 2015 for a very special one-off show at London's prestigious Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 18th October, to perform classic 1975 album "One Size Fits All" in its entirety, plus a host of other favourites from the Frank Zappa back catalogue.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, this widely lauded album featured the final version of Zappa's backing band 'The Mothers Of Invention', including George Duke, Chester Thompson, Johnny 'Guitar' Watson and Captain Beefheart. Every track and nuance will be faithfully recreated as Frank's son Dweezil Zappa and his virtuoso band bring the album back to life, live on stage at a venue where The Mothers themselves performed back in 1968.
'Zappa Plays Zappa'
, led by Dweezil, have performed to audiences worldwide since 2006, receiving rave reviews as they go. In 2009, they were awarded a prestigious Grammy award for best rock instrumental performance for their version of “Peaches en Regalia” and were nominated in the same category in 2010 for their performance of “The Deathless Horsie”.
Dweezil, who is accompanied by a host of hand-picked young musical talent from around the world, brings his father’s musical legacy to life on stage and is the only official act to do so since Frank Zappa’s death in 1993.
